Rotary saw
An oscillating saw is a cutting tool that is mainly used in medicine.
Operation
While normal circular saws constantly rotate about an axis, the oscillating saw blade moves only a few degrees back and jerky. This is done in a high frequency. This will not cut inert and soft material. The saw blade is engaged only in hard and brittle material.
Use
In medicine bone are usually processed during an operation with an oscillating saw, so as not to injure the soft tissues. Also, when removing a plaster cast saw is used in order not to hurt the skin underneath.
