Roter Kogel

The Red Kogel is a 2832 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Stubai Alps in Tyrol.

It is located on a ridge that extends ( 3027 m above sea level. A. ) north to the Fotscher Windegg ( 2577 m above sea level. A. ) by the High Villerspitze on the Lüsener Villerspitze. To the west of this ridge lies the Lüsener valley. There is at Praxmar a starting point for the ascent of the Red mountain. East of the Red Kogels extends the Fotscher valley where the Alpine inn Bergheim Fotsch ( 1464 m above sea level. A. ) and the Potsdamer Hütte two more bases are located. This east-side increase is also a popular ski tour in winter.
