Roth Racing

Roth Racing was a team from the IndyCar Series and Indy Lights series, which belonged to the driver Marty Roth.

The team was founded in 2004, when Roth bought the Indy Lights Equipment of Panther Racing and competed in several races of the series. He also bought an IndyCar chassis to the Indianapolis 500 to take part. Roth retired in Indianapolis, however, from the race; as 2005, when the car was used in conjunction with PDM Racing. In 2006, he could not qualify for the race itself. But from now on, the strategy was changed so that Marty Roth also appeared in some other races of the remaining 2006 season and in the 2007 season. At the end of the season 2007 one was even with two cars on the grid, the second was driven here by PJ Chesson.

In the 2008 season the team was in the first race with two cars on the grid. Second driver alongside Marty Roth was initially Jay Howard, who was replaced for the Indianapolis 500 2008 by John Andretti. Andretti drove in Indy clearly the fastest laps of the team. After Indianapolis should first Jay Howard back in the second car again, in the four following events remained Andretti. However, a fixed contract until the end of the season refused this. In Watkins Glen then sat again Jay Howard at the wheel of the second car; since the team was only with a car at the start.

According to the 2009 season, the team closed its doors. The mechanic was transferred in part to Conquest Racing, who defended another car from 2009. The equipment has been sold to the FAZZT Race team that inserting a car for Alex Tagliani from 2010. But FAZZT is no longer active, the team was sold for 2011 to Sam Schmidt Motorsports, which IndyCar is still active today.
