Rothenbach (Ems)

The Roth Bach ( in the directory waters listed as Rothe Bach ) is a 7.459 km long right-hand tributary of the Ems.

River course

The Roth stream originates at the edge of the garden road settlement in the district of New Rietberger churches and then flows in a southwesterly direction through Druffel. There the river is named for the street "Am Roth Bach" and forms the boundary of the settlement Druffeler gravity against the nature reserve Schell meadow. After the Roth Bach has crossed the B64, it flows in the direction of Lintel where the Mersch ditch empties into the Roth Bach. At river kilometer 322.55 Roth stream flows into the Ems.

Characteristics

When Roth Bach is a typical lowland river with low flow rate, whereby the settlement of marsh plants is possible. While the underflow is rather far from nature expanded, can be found in the upper and middle reaches at least a one-sided, but also partly on both sides of inventory sometimes altholz rich riparian woodland.
