Rothselberg
Rothselberg is a municipality in the district of Kusel, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Wolfenstein.
Geography
The village lies at the foot of the 546 meter high Selberg in the North Palatine Uplands. In the north- west is Eßweiler, in the northeast and southwest Rutsweiler at the Lauter is Jettenbach. To Rothselberg includes the residential places and Hasselbacherhof Sonnenhof.
History
Rothselberg was first documented in 1377. It belonged to the Palatine office Wolfenstein. The Protestant church was built in the first half of the 14th century.

The local council in Rothselberg consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
Economy and infrastructure
In the east, the highway runs 270 In Kreimbach - Kaulbach is a railway station of Lauterbrunnen Valley Railway. On the Selberg the Palatinate Forest Association operates the well-known from near and far with hikers hiking home Selberghütte.
