Roubanina

Roubanina ( German Raubanin ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers north of Letovice and belongs to Okres Blansko.

Geography

Roubanina is located in the south of Podorlická pahorkatina ( Podorlicko ) on the upper reaches of the river Zavadilka. To the north rises the Javor (606 m), northeast of the Niva ( 529 m) and Hammerle (534 m), in the south of Vlkov ( 599 m) and the Stráň ( 522 m) and in the northwest the Kojetína ( 586 m). To the north is extended the foothills of the beautiful Hengster back.

Neighboring towns are Březinka and Slatina in the north, Na Červené, Bela u Jevíčka, Olší ​​and Smolna in the northeast, Klen, Roubanská and Korbelová Lhota in the east, Bezděčí and Svárov the southeast, Chlum in the south, Bahna and Rumberk the southwest, Luhy and Horni Smržov in the west and Horakova Lhota in the northwest.

History

Roubanina was founded in the wake of colonization activities of the Olomouc Bishop Bruno of castle at the crossroads of two important trade routes. The first written mention of the village was carried out in 1356 as the property of Vladiken Bolko of Roubanina. The seat of the Lords of Roubanina formed a stronghold located in the village. In 1755, a one-class village school that was also attended by the children of the surrounding villages Chlum, Březinka, Slatina, Korbelová Lhota, Bezděčí and Svárov arose.

After the abolition of patrimonial originated from 1850, the municipality Roubanín in the District Commission Moravian Třebová. 1855, the congregation of the District Commission Jevíčko was assigned, which was canceled in 1868. From 1910 the town was called Roubanina. After the Munich Agreement, Roubanina was from 1938 on the border of the German Reich. Beginning in 1942, was mined until the 1950s south of Roubanina in the coal mine Dul svaté Barbory ​​fire clay. The mine had about 50 employees. The school in Roubanina closed in the 1950s. With the beginning of 1961 Roubanina was merged with Deštná, Horni Smržov and Rumberk to the municipality Deštná - Roubanina and at the same time associated with the Okres Blansko. Between 1986 and 1990 Roubanina was incorporated to Letovice. Since 1990, the community is Roubanina again. Roubanina is vicarage for the villages Bezděčí, Svárov, Chlum, Slatina and Březinka.
