Two early demos of the band were produced by renowned heavy metal singer Ronnie James Dio under the titles " Used And Abused " and "A Little Kindness ". Rough Cutt played in 1984 in the opening act of the band Dio, the singer then 1986 brought the group under its Hear 'n Aid project to the stage. Manager of the band was temporarily Ronnie James Dio's wife Wendy Dio.
