Round-off error

Rounding errors are the errors that occur when rounding numbers. Is expected to rounded numbers on, so the rounding error may increase with each invoice and grow. Rules for rounding are specified in DIN 1333.

In computer rounding errors occur when using floating point numbers. They result from the only finite representation Selbiger. For example, recursive digital filters (see digital filter, the signal processing ) this may lead to the so-called limit cycle, wherein the output of the filter - even if the input signal has decayed long - is a periodic sequence that usually has a small capacity.
