Round robin test

A ring test or intercomparison or laboratory performance test (english Round Robin Test / Proficiency Test ) is a method of external quality assurance for measurement methods and measurement and testing laboratories. Basically identical samples with identical method or different methods investigated. The comparison of the results allows us to make statements about the measuring accuracy in general and about the measurement quality of the participating institutes. Robin tests are also used to validate requirements for measuring procedures.

To have accredited testing laboratories according to the standard DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025 or participate regularly in the framework of state authorization process in round robin tests to ensure the quality of their results and to prove their competence. For the provider of the ring tests, the accreditation according to EN ISO / IEC 17043 is offered.
