Roussy-le-Village

Roussy -le -Village ( German Rüttgen, Lorraine Rëttgen ) is a commune with 1238 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region.

Geography

Roussy is located about ten kilometers north of Thionville, near the border with Luxembourg. On the northern boundary of the parish is the court Sainte -Cécile (Saint Cäcilienhof ).

History

The area has been since 1769, with an interruption from 1871 to 1918 ( National Rural Alsace- Lorraine), France, and is surrounded by large forests.

1812, the neighboring village of Roussy -le- Bourg was (castle Rüttgen ) incorporated 1826 Dodenom ( Dodenhofen ).
