Rovnag Abdullayev

Rövnəq Ibrahim oglu Abdullayev ( born April 3, 1965 in Nakhchivan City, Azerbaijan ) is the President of the Azerbaijani state energy company SOCAR and President of the Azerbaijan Football Federation.

Career

Abdullayev studied civil engineering at the Lomonosov University in Moscow. After graduating, he worked for the Nef - Dashlari oil and gas production of the Caspian Sea Oil & Gas Production Association. After he fulfilled leading technical management duties there, he was appointed director of the Heydar Aliyev Refinery 2003.

Since December 2005 he has been president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic.

Abdullayev is married and has two children.
