The Rowboat film and television production, based in Cologne is a film company that works as a film production.

History

The " Rowboat film and television production GmbH" was founded in January 2010 jointly by the producer Sam Davis and the international sales company Beta Film. Davis took over the management.

The Rowboat film and television production develops and produces fictional television films and series of all genres for public and private broadcasters in Germany, Europe and North America as well as selected cinema projects.

The first film of the company The Miracle of Carinthia celebrated 2011 at the Hamburg Film Festival Premiere and was nominated under which the producer price. The first broadcast on ORF 18 January 2012 watched by an average 1.002 million viewers, representing a market share of 33 percent. The ZDF broadcast the film on March 5, 2012. On November 25, 2013, the film won the International Emmy Award 2013 in the category " TV-Movie/Mini-Series ".
