Roxana Scarlat

Roxana Maria Scarlat ( born January 3, 1975 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian fencer and Olympic participant.

In their discipline, the foil, she brought in the team competition at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta with Laura Badea and Reka Szabo the silver medal, losing in the final the three Romanians against Italy. In the World Fencing Championships in 1997 and 1998, the Romanians defeated in the final also against Italy. In the World Fencing Championship 2001 Scarlat won the individual bronze, 2002, she won the team bronze and in 2003 she won the individual competition and bronze in the team competition. At the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 was Scarlat in a single ninth. Another time she gained silver than they with the team in the finals defeated the team from South Korea at the World Fencing Championship in 2005.
