The Roxas Boulevard ( formerly known as Dewey Boulevard) is a boulevard in Metro Manila. The eight-lane main artery connects the center of Manila with Pasay City and Parañaque City. It is one of the most important links in the road network of the metropolitan region around the Philippine capital and is reported as radial Road 1. The former designation in honor of Admiral George Dewey U.S., in 1898 the Spanish Navy struck at the Battle of Manila Bay, was changed in the 1960s in honor of Manuel Roxas, the fifth President of the Philippines in Roxas Boulevard. The Roxas Boulevard runs along the shoreline of Manila Bay and is well-known for sunset views. It developed as the trademark of Philippine tourism, including the Yacht Club, have contributed several hotels, fine dining and parks. The bent over road runs from north to south. The northern end point is located at the Rizal Park in Manila. In the south, the road ends in Parañaque City to the junction with the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Road (short: NAIA Road). South of Manila- Cavite Expressway begins.
