Roy Dotrice
Roy Dotrice OBE ( born May 26, 1923 on Guernsey ) is a British actor.
Life
Roy Dotrice was born in 1923 on the British Channel Island of Guernsey. When he came during the Second World War in captivity, he discovered acting. After his return from Germany, he studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and graduated in 1957 the Royal Shakespeare Company at.
In the 1970s, he went to the United States, where he made his name as a supporting actor in films and television series mainly in the fantasy genre. He also took on numerous roles on Broadway.
Roy Dotrice was married from 1947 until her death in 2007 with his colleague Kay Dotrice. They have three daughters, Karen, Michele and Yvette are also actresses.
Awards
For his performance in the play A Moon for the heavy laden (A Moon for the Misbegotten ) Dotrice won a Tony Award as Best Supporting Actor.
