Royal Aeronautical Society

The Royal Aeronautical Society ( RAeS ) is a worldwide institution that deals with a wide range of aspects of the aerospace industry. It was founded on 12 January 1866 and is the world's oldest institution of its kind all services, activities and products of the global commercial and military aerospace are represented in the RAeS. The headquarters of this organization is located in London.

Organization

The RAeS is divided into branches and divisions.

Branch Company ( Branch)

They provide a global platform for the dissemination of aerospace information. Worldwide there is a network of 63 affiliates. This offer regional and local events for their members. In Germany there are in Munich, a branch of this organization.

Divisions ( Divisions )

Divisions are superior to the affiliates. They are available in countries and regions where a large number of affiliates are available. Divisions operate with a large degree of autonomy and are responsible for the branch network, conferences and courses. There is one division in England, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa.

From the monthly RAeS three journals are published:

Membership

The RAeS anyone can join it, for business or pleasure dealing with aerospace. The Association has various levels of membership, which corresponds to the technical qualifications of the member. Also companies it is possible to become a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society. About 100 companies have joined the association.
