Royal Air Force Museum London

The Royal Air Force Museum is the Air Force Museum of the United Kingdom. It is located on the airfield Hendon in north London borough of Barnet. There is also a branch in Cosford, Shropshire.

History

1912 was founded on the site of the first flight school in the country. After the First World War Hendon was the site of the popular Hendon Air Show. The museum was opened on November 15, 1972 by Queen Elizabeth II.
