The Royal Athletic Park is a multi-purpose stadium with lighting in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

It is primarily used for baseball, football, softball and Canadian football, but is often the venue for special events.

Currently, the stadium is the home ground of professional baseball clubs Victoria Seals of the Golden Baseball League and the Amateur Fußballkubs Victoria United Football Club.

History

The stadium was used in the early 20th century, after a great fire in 1967 it was renovated and reopened even in the same year. The normal capacity of the stadium is 4,247 seats, but depending on the event they can at 9,247 venues, and - as at the Junior World Cup - to be extended to up to 11,500 courses.

The Royal Athletic Park is home to the Victoria Rebels, a Canadian football team, as well as Victoria United, a football club from the city. Previously it was the home stadium of the minor league team of the Victoria Capitals and some other clubs.

During the Junior World Cup in 2007 in Canada, it was one of the six host stadiums. The matches of the group F (except the game Scotland - Costa Rica ) and the second round between Japan and the Czech Republic were held here.
