Royal -Dominique Fennell ( born June 5, 1989 in Fort Irwin, CA ) is a German - American soccer player. He was born the son of an American father and a German mother. After he came to Germany at the age of four years, he grew up in Göppingen. It is primarily used as a central defender.

Career

Royal -Dominique Fennell began only after moving to Germany at Frisch Auf Göppingen playing football. Further stations youth were the FV Faurndau, VfB Stuttgart, the SSV Ulm 1846 and the Stuttgart Kickers. From 2008 he played for the second team of kickers, before he first ran aground at the end of the 2009/10 season for playing in the Regionalliga Süd first team. In the season 2011/12 he won with the Stuttgarter Kickers the Regional Championship and climbed to third in the Football League. 21 July 2012 Fennell came on Matchday 1 of the third League 2012/13 season in the away game against Hansa Rostock (1:2) to his debut in professional football. Three weeks later, he scored on matchday 5 of the season away from home in the derby against VfB Stuttgart II ( 4-1 ) his first goal in professional football.

Internationally

Fennell was first appointed in late 2011 in the U-23 team in the U.S. youth national team.
