Royal field with the monument to Přemysl, the Ploughman
Královské pole ( German: König field) is a historic site in the Czech Republic, where a tradition after Přemysl the Ploughman was appointed as king of Bohemia.
Location
Královské pole is located west of Stadice ( Staditz ) in Ústí nad Labem ( Usti nad Labem ) in Northern Bohemia (Czech Republic) in the Valley of Bílina. The monument is accessible via the state road 258 in the direction Hliňany and is located between the railway line Trmice - Bílina and to the R 63 and Highway D 8
History
Since 1841 is located on the King field a monument showing a bronze plow on a stone base. To iron, classical relief panels located on the sides with motifs of Přemyslidensage. The middle of a park lying Tiller Memorial ( Oráčův pomník ) was designed on behalf of Nostic family by the architect F. Staumann. The relief panels were created by Joseph Max.
1962 Královské pole was declared a national cultural monument.
