Royal-Natal-Nationalpark

The Royal Natal National Park was formed in 1916 in the South African Drakensberg in the present province of KwaZulu -Natal. He is a member of Ukhahlamba -Drakensberg Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. He is one of the most spectacular natural sights in Africa. Impressive is the Amphitheatre, a several miles long and about 1000 feet high rock wall between Sentinel ( 3165 m) and Eastern Buttress ( 3047 m). On the flat summit plateau and mountains stand like the Mont- Aux-Sources ( isiZulu: Phofung ) ( 3282 m), the 1836 French missionaries Arbousset T. and F. Daumas climbed and named according to the sources of three major rivers.
