The Royal Northern College of Music ( RNCM ) is a conservatoire in Manchester, England. It is located on Oxford Road in Manchester city center and on the western edge of the campus of the University of Manchester. In addition to higher education provides the RNCM concerts, operas and other musical events. The current director is the clarinettist and composer Jonty Stockdale.

The roots of the Conservatory emerged in the late 19th century with the Royal Manchester College of Music by Sir Charles Hallé. Today's RNCM formed by the union of the Royal Manchester College of Music and the Northern School of Music in 1973.

Currently it offers both undergraduate studies and postgraduate studies in performance and composition at.

According to figures from 2007, the RNCM has 696 students, including 496 who are studying for a bachelor's degree, and 200 for the master's degree. 49 % of all students are male and 51 % female. With a number of 265 academic staff is exceptionally numerous in proportion to the students. Many teachers also teach at the Junior RNCM, a Saturday music school for talented young musicians who want to pursue a musical career.
