Royal Red Cross

The Royal Red Cross is a military decoration of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

The award was instituted on 27 April 1883 by Queen Victoria to reward outstanding services in military nursing. During the First World War in 1917 the lower class of associate added. The winner will receive the post- nominals RRC or ARRC.

Known wearer is Florence Nightingale.
