Rørvik

Rørvik is a place in Norway. It is the capital of the municipality on the island Vikna Vikna and had in 2007 just over 2,600 inhabitants. In August 2010 there were already 3,700 inhabitants.

Economy and Transport

The traditional main occupation is fishing and agriculture. The largest single employer is the Norwegian telecommunications group Telenor, the majority of jobs, however, are still in the farming, fishing and fish processing industry. The community is Hurtigruten ships, meet here every evening the north and southbound ships. Is by fast ferry or three times daily links to the closest major city Namsos. By air, you reach the city via the airport Rørvik, Ryum, located near the city center. Across the street Fv770 city and airport are now connected to the fährfrei around 55 kilometers away coastal road Fv17.
