RSSOwl

RSSOwl is a free, platform-independent feed reader for RSS, RDF and Atom news feeds. It was developed in Java using SWT as fast, native graphics library. RSS is a document specification that allows the user to collect messages to organize and update.

History

RSSOwl began in late July 2003 as a small project on SourceForge. After 18 months of development RSSOwl 1.0 was published on 19 December 2004.

Functions

RSSOwl can export messages to PDF, RTF, and HTML documents. It also supports RSS and RDF in versions 0.91, 0.92, 1.0 and 2.0. In addition, Atom is supported from version 1.0. RSSOwl includes a newsfeed - search engine with keyword search. It fits with his appearance on the operating system on which it runs. Recommended messages can be forwarded to different contacts.
