Ruan Ji

Ruan Ji阮籍(* 210, † 263 ) was a Chinese poet from the kingdom of Wei, who worked in the period of the Three Kingdoms. After the coup by Sima Yi, he had to flee the capital Luoyang. Ruan Ji was one of the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove, this group was one example, Xi Kang. However differed Ruan Ji of this especially the fact that he lived as a hermit and confident Daoism clung, which was mainly represented at the time of Wang Bi, whose pupil he became. In his poems he creates images of grief and transience.
