Bemelmans has so far been primarily successful on the Challenger Tour. The Challenger tournament in Wolfsburg he won twice and also his only previous doubles title he celebrated on German soil. Together with compatriot Igor Sijsling he was victorious at the tournament in Aachen. His Grand Slam debut at Wimbledon in 2011, he celebrated, but where he was eliminated in the first round.
