Rubén Gallego

Rubén David González Gallego (Russian Рубен Давид Гонсалес Гальего; born September 20, 1968 in Moscow ) is a Russian writer of Spanish origin, which was known to black with his harrowing memoir White, who won the Russian Booker Prize. He suffered from childhood to cerebral palsy. Under pressure from his grandfather Ignacio Gallego, secretary general of the Spanish Communist was, he was separated from his mother living in exile in Russia and had to languish in orphanages under worst conditions. But he fought through and was able with the help of a nurse, his future first wife, escape in the turmoil of perestroika in 1990. He studied law and English and was a computer specialist, met his mother and became a father. Later he lived in Freiburg, Germany, before moving to Washington, DC moved.

He is not known by his real last name González, rather than " Gallego ".
