Ruben Pereira

Rubén Pereira, full name Rubén Márquez Fabián Pereira ( born January 28, 1968 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player.

Association

The 1.79 meter tall midfielder Pereira belonged from 1986 to 1991 for the squad based in Montevideo club Danubio. During his club membership, the club won the Torneo Competencia 1988 first and then the Uruguayan national champion, to which he contributed with twelve or 21 Season inserts. In the 1991/92 season he played for the Italian Serie A club U.S. Cremonese and came in 13 league games for use. Then he moved to Argentina to Boca Juniors. In Buenos Aires he competed in the Apertura 1992 and Clausura 1993 a total of 16 games. The 92er - Apertura championship his team won. In 1993 and 1994 he was a member of the squad to Nacional's. From the Apertura 1995 until at least 1998, some of the Clausura 1999 is out, he was active for the Club Atlético Peñarol.

National

Pereira, he was also a member of the Uruguayan national team. He made his debut in Celeste on August 7, 1988. His 27th and final international game, he completed on 17 July 1996. Pereira scored an international goal. During this time he participated in the FIFA World Cup 1990, where he was employed in the group game against Spain and in the second round defeat to Italy. Pereira also was a member of the Uruguayan squad at the Copa América 1989, which ended Uruguay in second place.
