Rubin Phillip

The Right Reverend Philip Rubin ( * ca 1948) is the Bishop of Natal in the Anglican Church of Southern Africa.

As a great-grandson of indentured labor from Andhra Pradesh Philip is the first black man who holds the office of bishop in Kwazulu -Natal. He grew up in a non-religious household in Calirwood on, a suburb of Durban with a high concentration of people of Indian descent. He converted to Christianity and was set up in February 2000 as a bishop. 2008 Philip successfully applied for a court order, the ammunition supplies to Zimbabwe over South African territory prevented.
