Ruby Turner

Ruby Turner ( born June 22, 1958 in Montego Bay, Jamaica) is a Jamaican R & B singer, songwriter and actress.

Biography

When she was nine years old, Ruby Turner's family moved from Jamaica to England. Her musical career began in the early 1980s, Alexis Korner (DVD Live at the Marquee, together with Charlie Watts ). They can be heard on albums by UB40 ( Labor of Love, 1983) and Culture Club (From Luxury to Heartache, 1986).

In 1986 they released their debut album, Women Hold Up Half the Sky, which received good reviews and also sold well ( No. 47 of the UK album charts).
