Rudi Fink

Rudi Fink ( born July 6, 1958 in Cottbus ) is a former German amateur boxer and current boxing trainer.

Career

The age of nine Rudi Fink began boxing training. In 1972 he came to the sports school to Frankfurt an der Oder. He was repeatedly DDR junior champion bantamweight and 1977, 1979 and 1980 GDR Champion, and 1978 DDR Vice featherweight champion. In 1980 he won with his coach Manfred cloud the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Moscow. He was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver for this success. After 180 battles, including 155 wins, 5 draws and 10 defeats, he ended his active career in 1981 and became a coach.

In 1993 he got a job as a regional trainer, but this was canceled shortly thereafter. Fink, who also completed a sports studies after his apprenticeship as a car mechanic, worked from 1994 as a nationally recognized educator in Cottbus.

In January 2003 he visited his former coach Cloud, on the occasion of his 60th birthday. This then made ​​him the offer to as an assistant coach with him. Since 1 May 2003 Rudi Fink has held this position and supervised, among others Danilo Haussler. In 2008, the employment relationship was dissolved.

Rudi Fink is married and has one child.
