Rudi Godden

Rudi Godden ( born April 18, 1907 in Berlin as Rudi Lißbauer; † January 4, 1941 ) was a German singer and film actor.

Life

Rudi Godden was the son of an Austrian café animal and was after his early death, adopted by his stepfather, a cinema owner. In addition to attending school in Berlin, Rostock and Hamburg took Godden, who wanted to become an opera singer first singing lessons at the Opera School in Hamburg, however, he did not continue. After an aborted commercial apprenticeship he worked as an extra at the Berlin Chamber of play and at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus. Since the late 1920s he went with the co-founders of vocal quartet "Blue Boys" on tour. Since 1935 he was a member of the cabaret " The eight Unbound ".

In 1936 he accepted a contract with Tobis and stood for the film Truxa first time on camera. In the years 1937 to 1940 was followed by bigger roles, including one of the title roles in Hans H.
