Rüdiger Sünner

Rüdiger Sunner (* 1953 in Cologne) is a German journalist, author and documentary filmmaker. He is best known for his works on neo-paganism and the esoteric and mystical roots of the ideology of National Socialism.

Life

After his graduation in 1970, he studied musicology, German literature and philosophy at the Free University of Berlin and played casually in various rock groups. From 1986 to 1991 he studied at the German Film and Television Academy ( DFFB). After that, he lived as a book author, film producer and musician in Berlin. In 1985, he wrote his thesis on the art and philosophy of Theodor W. Adorno and Friedrich Nietzsche. This dissertation was published in 1986 under the name of Aesthetic Szientismuskritik: the relationship between art and science in Nietzsche and Adorno in Lang Publishing. In 2001 he published a book with the title Black Sun on Occult Roots of Nazism and a documentary with the same title. Among other things, he visited for the Wewelsburg and examined the importance of the local mosaics.
