Rudnik nad Sanem

Rudnik nad Sanem (until 1997 Rudnik, Yiddish: רודניק Ridnik ) is a city in the powiat Niżański in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship, Poland. The place is located near the river San, hence the name part nad Sanem ( the San ), which was the official name added in 1997. The town is located 6.4 km southwest of Ulanów and 47 km north-east of Rzeszow.

History

In the station of Rudnik nad Sadem at July 17, 1917 of a major disaster occurred when a parked there the Austro-Hungarian military munitions exploded. 59 people died.
