Rudolf Kanzler

Rudolf Chancellor ( born February 26, 1873 in Wasserburg am Inn, † February 26, 1956 ) was a German surveyor and politician. As a member of the Centre he was a member from 1905 to 1918 the Second Chamber of the Bavarian Parliament. In 1920 he was the founder of Einwohnerwehr organization Chancellor ( Orka ).

As the son of the royal lawyers I.B. Chancellor and his wife Crescenz Stechlin he attended secondary school and the Polytechnic Institute in Munich. He qualified professional geometer ( surveyor ). As a member of the Centre Party, he won the 1905 mandate in the Second Chamber of the Landtag of Bavaria for the constituency Season stone.

From 1912 to 1919 he was director of the Survey Office in Rosenheim. Towards the end of 1918, organized Chancellor in Bavaria building civil defense organizations. In the " Border Protection South " and the " Freikorps Chiemgau " he took a senior position of vigilantes who wanted to resist the revolutionary tendencies. From the Salzburg and Tyrolean room came 1919, the suggestions and requests to set up so-called self-protection changes. In Bavaria declared Georg Escherich and Kanzler on 27 September 1919 in Munich officially announced the decision to establish of Home Guards.

Chancellor and Esch Erlich tried in this construction of the Home Guards to the official support of the Bavarian government, which was promised by the Prime Minister Gustav von Kahr. It should be the " Border Protection South " provide the necessary reconstruction aid. These commitments resulted from negotiations that extended in 1920 through the months of February and March.

On May 9, 1920 Escherich founded in Regensburg the organization Escherich ( Orgesch ) who was recruited from members of the Home Guards. Chancellor was the deputy of Escherich in Orgesch. Obviously, there were several differences between Escherich and Kanzler. Because Chancellor had on May 4, 1920, the organization Chancellor ( Orka ) based in Rosenheim founded, which was later moved to Munich. Chancellor gave but in August 1921, the management of the Orka again.

In 1923, Chancellor collaborated with Waldemar Pabst, where she dealt with the organization of Austrian Defence Associations. Chancellor took over on 11 January of the same year in Rosenheim the board of the Bavarian homeland and king Federal ( BHKB ).
