Rudolf Matz

Rudolf Matz ( born September 19, 1901 in Zagreb, † 22 March 1988) was a Yugoslavian cellist, composer, conductor and teacher.

Rudolf Matz taught at the Music Academy in Zagreb ( Croatia), was a member of the " Zagrebacki trio" and the string quartet SKLAD. He conducted the Zagreb Chamber Orchestra, the intellectual Music Society, the Croatian singer Association and the doctors choir Zagreb.

His compositional work contains about 600 scores and other works. Of these, about 100 compositions for solo cello and cello various ensembles. He is known by his 32 -volume textbook The first few years with the cello.
