Rudolf von Erlach (1299–1360)

Rudolf von Erlach (* around 1299 in Bern, † 1360 in Reichenbach castle, now the town Zollikofen ) was a Bernese knight of the family of von Erlach.

According to the chronicler Konrad Just Inger 1339 he was leader of the Confederates at the Battle of Laupen and led them in 1340 in the fight against Freiburg. However, documentary evidence is only the latter.

In honor of Rudolph the Erlach monument was built in Bern, which is at the grave promenade today.
