Rudolph Sophus Bergh

Rudolph Sophus Bergh ( born September 22, 1859 in Copenhagen, † December 7, 1924 in Davos ) was a Danish composer.

The pupil of Heinrich von Herzogenberg and Heinrich van Eyken spent most of his life in Germany. Until 1919 he lived in Berlin and Godesberg. After his return to Copenhagen in 1922 was made a board member of the Executive Board of the Conservatory.

Bergh composed a Requiem for Werther for choir, alto solo and orchestra, spirits of the wind for choir, alto and tenor solo and orchestra, a tragic symphony, a string quartet, a violin sonata, choral works and numerous songs.
