Rudy Gobert

Rudy Gobert ( born June 26, 1992 Saint- Quentin, France ) is a French professional basketball player who is currently with the Utah Jazz in the NBA under contract.


Gobert played from 2010 to 2013 for Cholet Basket in the French league. During the 2010-11 season, he scored 4.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. In the following season, he scored 4.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. In the 2012-13 season Gobert scored 8.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game.


Even prior to the Drafts Gobert was one of the great European talent. For measurements, the 2.18 m tall Frenchman came up with an arm span of 2.37 m. In NBA Draft 2013 Gobert was recruited in the first round on 27 out of the Denver Nuggets and shortly afterwards transferred to the Utah Jazz.


Gobert took part with the French U-20 National Team at the U-20 European Championship 2011. He won the bronze medal. In 2012 he won with France at the U -20 European Championship silver medal. Gobert also belonged to the squad of the national team in preparation for the Olympic Games in 2012. Doing so, he took part in two friendly matches.
