Rufina
Rufina is a comune in the Italian province of Florence ( Tuscany Region ) with 7415 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Geography
The municipality extends over 45.7 km ², has a population density of 167 inhabitants per km ² and is part of the Comunità montana Montagna Fiorentina. It lies about 20 km east of Florence on the Sieve.
The following districts are part of the community: Agna, Casi, Casini, Castelnuovo, Cigliano, Contea, Falgano, Masseto, Pomino, Rimaggio, Scopeti, Selva Piana, Stentatoio, Turicchi.
Rufina borders the following municipalities: Dicomano, Londa, Montemignaio (AR), Pelago, Pontassieve, Prato Vecchio Stia (AR).
Demography
Rufina has about 2891 households. The population increased in the period from 1991-2001 by 13%.

- Chiesa di Santo Stefano a Castiglioni, church built in 1103, renovated in 1926.
- Chiesa di Santa Maria a Falgano, dating back to about 1277 church.
