Ruggero Pertile

Ruggero Pertile ( born August 8, 1974 in Camposampiero, Padova ) is an Italian marathon runner.

He was on his debut at the twelfth Venice Marathon 1999. He was at the Florence Marathon in a promising position lying, misguided 2001, and so could not finish the race. A fifth place at the Milano City Marathon 2002 was taken in 2003, a fourth in the Maratona di Sant'Antonio, which qualified him for the World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis. There he finished in 23rd place.

In 2004, he won the Rome Marathon and was third at the Maratona d' Italia. The following year, he was eighth in the Lake Biwa Marathon and came at the World Championships in Helsinki on the 35th place.

Ruggero Pertile is 1,70 m tall and weighs 55 kg. The athlete with the nickname " Rero " is coached by Massimo Magnani and starts for Assindustria Padova. Until his victory in Rome in 2004, he worked as a part time occupier in a supermarket; since then he has been a professional athlete.
