Ruggles Iceland (Spanish: Isla Calista ) is an uninhabited island in the Falkland Islands. It is located 340 meters before Lafonia, the southern peninsula of East Falkland, and is separated from it by the Ruggles pass. In the north of the island lies Speedwell Iceland.

In the past it was on the coast of Iceland Ruggles to two shipwrecks:

  • In September 1860, the U.S. frigate Sea Ranger sank off the coast.
  • In September 1885 there was a second disaster. The Italian ship Luigrya had loaded in the hold a series of marble statues, when it sank off the coast. After the disaster claimed many divers in the area, they would have seen the statues. But none of them could prove anything. Only in 1994 ventured a small team of divers to the site and found the statues intact. After over a hundred years they could be salvaged.
