The Office Ruhland ( Lower Rólany office ) is an office formed in 1992 in Brandenburg, where the original six towns in the former district of Senftenberg have (now Oberspreewald -Lausitz, Brandenburg ) together to form a management group. A seventh community was added a little later. Seat of the official administration is in town Ruhland. The incorporation of a municipality, the number of official member municipalities reduced again to six.

Geographical location

The Office is located in the southern part of the Upper Spreewald -Lausitz in Brandenburg ( Germany ). It is bordered to the north by the town of Black Heath, on the east by the city of Senftenberg, on the south by the Free State of Saxony, in the western outskirts to the Office and to the northwest for a short distance to the city Lauchhammer.

History

The Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg issued initially on 5 August 1992 its approval for the formation of the Office Ruhland. This consent was revoked in a notice of the Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg December 8, 1992. As a new date of conclusion of the Office Ruhland December 8, 1992 has been set. The place Hohenbucko came in 1993 to the office. December 31, 2001 Jannowitz was incorporated into the municipality Hermsdorf.

Demographics
