Rukhaniyat Party

The party Ruchanijat ( Kazakh " Руханият » партиясы; German rebirth) is a green political party in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Chairman is Altynschasch Schaganowa. The party was approved by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 6 October 2003 and currently has 72,000 members.

The party maintains offices in all 14 regions of the republic and in the two cities Astana and Almaty. Party members are mainly employees of education, health care, scientific and cultural institutions, as well as entrepreneurs and students. The main objectives of Ruchanijat are the use for economic recovery in Kazakhstan while conserving the environment, the solution of the social and environmental problems in the country and the establishment of a moral and spiritual rich society.

In the elections of 2004, she received 0.44 percent of the vote. In the last parliamentary elections on 18 August 2007, it only came to 22 159 votes or 0.37% and failed thus significantly at the five percent hurdle. She has no representatives in the House.

On March 16, 2010 it was decided at a party congress to ask the European Green Party to the status of observer. The party would thus the first Kazakh party that joins a European party.
