Rullman Peak

Rullman Peak is a summit of Anderson Massif in the West Antarctic Heritage Range. The 1910 meter high peak is located just south of Grimes glacier.

Rullman peak was mapped by the United States Geological Survey as part of the compilation of Ellsworthgebirges in the years 1961-1966 through site surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the summit after Gerald D. Rullman, a machine operator (Chief Equipment Operator ) of the United States Navy. Rullman was the head of a drilling crew, during Operation Deep Freeze was the first ice of the Ross Ice Shelf at a depth of 160 feet (about 49 meters ) broke through in 1966. The hole was near the Dailey Islands.
