The Rumija (Cyrillic Румија ) is a mountain range of the Dinaric Alps in the southeast Montenegro and referred the same time the highest with 1594 m summit of this mountain range.

Geography

The ridge of Rumija extends over 10 kilometers from northwest to southeast, and together with the Paštrovići Mountains a natural barrier between the Adriatic Sea and Lake Skadar. Traffic

Rumija and Paštrovići Mountains form a barrier between the Zeta plain around Podgorica and the sea. Traffic routes overcome him only in a few places. Religious significance

The summit of Rumija is a place of importance in Christianity. Every year at Pentecost the cross Jovan Vladimir is carried in a procession from the village Velji Mikulići to the summit. In June 2005, the Serbian Orthodox Church with the help of an Army helicopter a chapel dedicated to the Holy Trinity was built.
