Rumšiškės
Rumšiškės is a town and a center of the eponymous administrative district ( seniūnija ) the Rajongemeinde Kaišiadorys in Lithuania, Kaunas situated between the sea and the highway Vilnius -Kaunas near Kaunas. Because of its prestigious waterfront location, the place is a rapidly growing part of the bacon belt of Kaunas.
Attractions
The place is known for its extensive ethnographic open-air museum, the largest of its kind in Lithuania. This well-attended events take place: especially at Shrovetide and the solstice.
Some buildings, including the wooden church, were implemented in 1959 sea before the flooding of the reservoir of Kaunas.
