Rúnar Kristinsson

Rúnar Kristinsson ( born September 5, 1969 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic footballer who currently plays for KR Reykjavík in the Pepsideild. The midfielder is with 104 international matches Icelandic capped player.

Club career

He began his career at amateur club Leiknir Reykjavík, before moving to Iceland's largest football club KR Reykjavík at the age of 14 years. Here he enjoyed initial success quickly and moved in 1995 to Sweden Örgryte IS, later the Norwegian club Lillestrøm SK and finally to Belgium for SC Lokeren. In 2007 he returned to his old club KR Reykjavík. Kristinsson scored 95 goals in 445 professional games.

National team career

From 1984 to 1991 he played in various youth teams of Iceland. 1987 was appointed for the first time in Iceland's national team, where he completed 104 games in 2004 and scored three goals. Eleven times he ran it on as captain.
