Runge (crater)

Runge is an impact crater on the eastern edge of the moon in the east front of the plane of the Mare Smythii, northwest of the crater Warner and southeast of Haldane. The crater is very flat, since the interior was flooded with lavas of Mare.

1973 named the International Astronomical Union ( IAU) of the crater after the German mathematician Carl Runge.
